Connect to common data sources
Understand Import vs DirectQuery at a beginner level
Apply basic data preparation in Power Query
Recognize query folding

Session 3

Clean and transform data with Power Query

Clean your data for more accurate results and better-organized tables for report creation.

Remove errors, nulls, and duplicates
Change data types, split and merge columns
Unpivot and pivot for tidy structure
Combine queries from multiple sources

Session 4

Design a data model

Introduction to the star schema — the optimal database design for speedy queries — and Power BI relationships.

Understand fact and dimension tables

Create visualizations and reports
